Setup:

1. Cornhole boards are placed on a flat surface 27 feet apart (front to front).
2. Each team has 4 bags of the same color.
3. Teams of one or two players stand at opposite cornhole boards.

Gameplay:

1. Opponents take turns throwing bags at the boards until each team has thrown all 4 of their bags. This constitutes an “inning.”
2. The player must stay behind the front edge of the board during a throw.
3. A bag that lands on the board and remains there at the end of the inning is worth 1 point. This is often called a “woody.”
4. A bag that falls through the hole is worth 3 points. This is often called a “cornhole.”
5. If a bag touches the ground and then lands on the board, it is removed and not scored.

Scoring:

1. The score is determined by calculating the difference in points scored by each team during an inning. For example, if Team A scores 3 points and Team B scores 2 points, Team A is awarded 1 point. The points do not accumulate over innings.
2. The game continues until a team scores 21 points or more at the end of an inning. You do not need to win by two points.
3. If the game is tied at 21, play continues until one team outscores the other in an inning.
